We are looking for medical engineers with at least four years’ experience for this role.
The post holder will undertake the repair and maintenance of a wide range of medical equipment, under the care of Atlas’ Medical Engineering Services.
You will perform repairs, calibration verification and safety testing on a wide range of medical equipment, appropriate to your experience. This may include highly complex and highly technical equipment; as well as delivering planned maintenance on a wide range of medical equipment, including highly technical, highly complex equipment.
The successful candidate will ideally hold a degree, or as a minimum, a HND level education, or equivalent experience.
You will have knowledge of and experience in working with implementation and management of quality management systems, as well as experience with the planning and delivery of organisational training. It is an essential part of the role to hold a current driving licence, as you will be required to visit sites across Atlas’ portfolio. You may be required to partake in our out of hours’ on-call rota.

The post holder will provide an effective and efficient maintenance repair service to a high quality on the full range of building fabric, mechanical engineering and electrical services, plant and equipment to the stated properties within their trade discipline and other disciplines within their capability.
The work will also involve maintenance of complex systems and the use of fine instrumentation and equipment.
The successful candidate will provide the necessary maintenance skills to ensure the safe and continuous operation of mechanical engineering services and building plant situated within the Atlas portfolio of properties and those organisations that have contractual arrangements with either Atlas, or Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
This will involve working with trade groups and contractors staff to provide an effective maintenance, repair and installation service, which is responsive to the users’ needs and will involve the planning and organising of maintenance activities. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate leadership skills and will be skilled on work across a range of technical engineering and building skill areas within maintenance.
