Who we are

Graham has significant and diverse Board-level experience, joining Atlas as a non-executive in 2022 and appointed chair in February 2025. A Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, he spent most of his professional life working between the public and private sectors.

Graham is the former independent chair of Blackpool Opportunity Area Partnership, a nationally funded project to improve school inclusion, literacy and connecting young people with the world of work, for which he was awarded an OBE in the 2022. He now works with Blackpool Pride of Place, the business-led partnership where building skills and education continue to be a major priority.

Maggie is Chief Executive of Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. She joined the NHS in 1982 in the pathology department at Manchester’s former Booth Hall Children’s Hospital on a Youth Opportunities Programme, the Government scheme to help 16 to 18-year-olds into employment. She then transitioned into nursing and later general management.

Since 2007, Maggie has held executive director roles within a variety of NHS provider organisations, including chief executive at the Isle of Wight NHS Trust.

Sarah is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and started her career in the private sector before moving into the NHS.

She held executive director positions for 19 years in NHS trusts and foundation trusts before taking up leadership roles in the broader health and care systems in Greater Manchester and Lancashire.

Sarah has substantial experience of building effective and productive working relationships and believes that the way forward is to ensure that our company values are a core part of how we operate as an organisation.

David was appointed Director of Finance in 2025. He joined Atlas on an interim basis in September 2023 with responsibility for all financial, business management and commercial areas of the business.

He has significant business expertise and experience, including as managing director of a Northern Ireland based transport business, a partner at a UK top 10 accounting practice and in providing consultancy services to a range of NHS organisations.

David is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and a Member of the Institute for Turnaround and Transformation.

James joined Atlas in May 2024 as Head of Finance and is responsible for providing the Atlas team and wider stakeholders with relevant financial Information and key performance indicators to support the business ambitions and goals.

James has 17 years’ experience in finance, and started out at a private accountancy practice, spending eight years there, where his role allowed him to get a rounded introduction to finance including VAT, payroll, management accounts, statutory accounts and audit.

Following this he moved to an industry role as financial controller and spent five years there before joining Prefix Systems Group in March 2020 as group finance manager.

Outside of work James enjoys watching football and walking his dog.

John has more than 30 years' experience in engineering, estates management, and operational leadership. He is responsible for leading the delivery of safe, compliant, and effective estates services.

Having previously served as Deputy Head of Estates and Energy Manager, John has developed extensive expertise in statutory compliance, asset management, risk management, energy and sustainability, capital projects, and service improvement. 

A Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET), he is committed to continuous improvement and developing high-performing estates teams.

Andrew is a trained chef, first working at Rossall School, Fleetwood, where he cooked for and met Queen Elizabeth II. He then worked in catering for Compass Group before moving into facilities management where he became a regional manager covering 34 sites. Andrew worked in the social housing sector for Bolton at Home ahead of joining Atlas in 2022.
