Our leadership structure starts at the top level, with our board. Atlas’ board comprises a chair and four non-executive directors, who work to ensure our long-term success.

Chair – Alan Stuttard

Alan Stuttard has a career spanning 40 years, mainly at Finance Director level, within public sector healthcare and NHS organisations, including across Acute Services, Ambulance Service, Department of Health and Regional Health Authority.

Prior to his retirement, he was the Finance Director and Deputy Chief Executive of the North West Ambulance Service.

Alan holds three Non-Executive Director positions at, Blackpool Operating Company Ltd (Blackpool Sandcastle Waterpark), Blackpool Waste Services Ltd (Enveco), and Bolton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust – which has its own wholly owned subsidiary Company, IFM Ltd.

Alan is also Chair of the Audit Committee at each of the organisations and has held Non-Executive roles with Health (Acute and Community Services), Primary Care, Local Government and Social Enterprise organisations. He is also a Volunteer Car Driver for the North West Ambulance Service, taking patients to and from hospital for their appointments.

 

Non-Executive Director – Graham Cowley

Graham Cowley has significant and diverse Board-level managerial experience, working as the interface between public and private sectors, across many different organisations.

A Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, Graham is currently the Chair of Blackpool Opportunity Area Partnership and has a career spanning all aspects of senior management, from operations, to sales, business and finance. With a penchant for transforming new businesses into successful enterprises, through mentoring and coaching.

 

Non-Executive Director – James Wilkie

James Wilkie holds a long and successful career in local government, working for a number of local authorities in Scotland and the North West.

James began his career as a town planner and moved on to lead a wide range of services, holding several different executive positions. Following his retirement from local government, James served as a Non-Executive Director with the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust until late 2017, when he moved out of the Trust's constituency area.

 

Non-Executive Director – Kevin McGee

Kevin McGee is the Chief Executive of Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and East Lancashire Hospital NHS Trust.

A qualified accountant with over 30 years’ experience of working within healthcare, with 15 years’ experience at executive level, Kevin has held a range of roles including Chief Executive of George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust, Director of Finance and Chief Operating Officer in large acute hospitals and Director of Commissioning and Performance Management at a Teaching Primary Care Trust and Chief Executive of a Teaching Primary Care Trust in Birmingham.
