Blackpool-based Atlas BFW Management Ltd (Atlas), is delighted to announce its achievement of International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) 9001:2015 certification.
Atlas delivers fully managed healthcare facilities services and property management solutions, to clients across Lancashire and South Cumbria, including Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
ISO 9001:2015 is an internationally recognised quality management certification, which guarantees Atlas’ services meet the needs of its clients, through an effective Quality Management System.
As one of the most rigorous, well-regarded and most updated quality standards of its kind, 9001:2015 focuses on quality management systems and performance, assisting companies in developing a Quality Assurance Model, that aligns quality with their wider business strategy.
The decision to apply for ISO 9001:2015 accreditation, demonstrates Atlas’ on-going commitment to maintaining and continually improving high standards of service, to its clients and staff.
In order to achieve ISO certification, Atlas and its Quality Management System, had to undergo a meticulous independent audit. This ensured its processes, procedures, competence and performance where all at the highest possible standard for all both quality and service.
Risk-based thinking and accountability has a significant emphasis in all organisational processes, this helps improve communications, efficiency, and implementation of continuous improvement. ISO 9001:2015 not only enhances Atlas’ values, but it also provides both its stakeholders and clients the assurance that Atlas maintains the highest of standards in all its operations.

Atlas selected the ISO 9001:2015 certification to be the backbone against which to drive continual improvement, specifically for the ISO focus on quality and the international recognition of this standard.
