Blackpool-based Facilities Management Company Achieves Internationally Recognised Quality Status.
Blackpool-based Atlas BFW Management Ltd (Atlas), is delighted to announce its achievement of ISO 9001:2015 certification.
Atlas delivers fully-managed healthcare facilities services and property management solutions, to clients across the Fylde Coast, including Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
ISO 9001:2015 is an internationally recognised quality management certification, which guarantees Atlas’ services meet the needs of its customers, through an effective Quality Management System.
As one of the most rigorous, well-regarded and most updated quality standards of its kind, ISO 9001:2015 focuses on quality management systems and performance, assisting companies in developing a Quality Management System, that aligns quality with their wider business strategy.
The decision to apply for ISO 9001:2015 accreditation, demonstrates Atlas’ on-going commitment to maintaining and continually improving high-standards of service, to its clients and staff.
To achieve ISO certification, Atlas and its Quality Management System, were subject to a rigorous independent audit, to ensure its processes, procedures, competence and performance all met the very highest levels of both quality and service.
There is a focus on risk-based thinking and accountability in all organisational processes, that helps improve communications, efficiency, and implementation of continuous improvement. ISO 9001:2015 enhances Atlas’ values and offers further assurance to its customers and stakeholders, that it operates to the highest standards.
Interim Chief Executive Officer, Jimmy Maguire, said: “Here at Atlas, it is our mission to ensure all the services delivered to our clients, exceed their expectations, are value for money and of the highest quality. In achieving ISO 9001:2015, we have demonstrated our commitment to these principles, at all levels within our organisation.”
The journey to achieving certification, require both commitment and time. After 12 months of significant organisational change, in 2019 Atlas identified the need to enhance its corporate policies, procedures, as well as the tools it needed to ensure it could deliver high-quality services, as its business plan was delivered.
Atlas selected the ISO 9001:2015 certification, to be the backbone against which to drive continual improvement, specifically for the ISO focus on quality and the international recognition of this standard.

This system provides the foundation for our growth plans.
