Keeping our clients' Hospitals, Health centres and clinics running.
First impressions matter when entering any building, yet alone a healthcare facility.
Our dedicated team of industry trained domestics know this and work tirelessly to keep our clients' buildings, healthcare facilities, clinics and offices clean, each and every day; to the Department of Health regulatory standards.
Over the coming weeks, we will be meeting our Domestic teams across our footprint, from Clifton Hospital, to the North and South Community teams covering Morecambe and Lancaster, to Fleetwood and Freckleton.
This time we meet some of the Community Domestics working in our South Lancashire footprint, covering Ansdell and Blackpool.
Kurtis Reid, Deputy Practice Manager at Ansdell Medical Centre, said: "The new Domestic Team have been a dream. Exceptional levels of cleanliness and always friendly on those cold grumpy mornings!
To have great communications between the surgery and the domestic team is extremely important and I feel we’ve got it spot on."
With Health and Safety and COSHH training and guidance from The Infection Control Teams, our Domestic Teams are able to ensure that our clients’ facilities are safe and cleaned to the highest standards, each and every day.
Their hard work ensures that our clients’ facilities are clean and welcoming for their staff, patients and visitors alike.
Wendy Jones, Head of Facilities Management, said: "The community are the backbone of who we all are. We all have our own community and to this end, we can all appreciate the importance of this service within healthcare."
As we further develop our service offering and client base, one of the recent contracts to be won is the Blackpool Centre for Independent Living, where the Trust's Community Neuro Physiotherapy team operate.
We recently caught up with Domestic Assistant, Darren Fisher, (pictured right) and spoke to Deborah Harris, Neuro Team Administrator.
Deborah said: "We are extremely happy with the high standard of cleanliness in our department since Atlas took over the cleaning contract.
The staff are thorough, professional, polite and courteous and the department has never been cleaner. On entering the office and gym each day, the whole area smells fresh and sanitised, which is what our patients would expect from a health care facility."
Wendy adds: "I am incredibly proud of the Community Domestic team. They constantly go above and beyond for our clients and it is feedback like from Deborah that shows me what a set of superstars each and every one of the team are."
