A
tlas has been helping Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre’s future workforce get to grips with their options for employment, as part of #NationalApprenticeshipWeek.
The ‘Apprentice Evening’ event organised by Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s (Trust) Workforce Development Team, took place on March 6 in the Trust’s Education Centre.
The event, organised by Dawn Werra, the Trust’s Clinical Workforce Development Advisor brought together organisations and potential apprentices to showcase how an apprenticeship could be their pathway to a great career.
Anthony Monks, Atlas’ Communications Officer, said: “The apprenticeship evening was a great platform to showcase how apprenticeships are a great alternative to main stream education. The team and I had some quality conversations with a whole host of talented and eager people; some getting ready to come out of full time education, some looking for something news.
Anthony continues: “We are currently developing a variety of apprenticeship opportunities within the organisation; from medical engineering, to catering, businesses administration, to all variety of trades, from plumbing, electrician, and joinery.”
